SIBU: Life assurance and family takaful are the cornerstones of financial security and stability in society, said Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng.

Chieng made these remarks at the 20th Akard Award presentation by the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisers (Namlifa) Sibu branch here Saturday (Sept 30).
A total of 66 life assurance professionals and financial advisers from various insurance companies received the award at different levels ranging from Akard Personal Gold to Akard Mega Million Agency.
The Akard awards symbolise the highest honour in the Malaysian life insurance industry, representing professionalism, high quality services, excellent leadership, integrity and ethical standard of the recipients.
Chieng said the Akard awards have a long-standing tradition of recognising excellence in the field of life assurance and family takaful advisory.
He said this event serves as a testament to the efforts of individuals and organisations who work tirelessly to protect and secure the financial future of countless individuals and families.
Chieng also commended the award recipients for their dedication and commitment to their profession.
