KUCHING: Citadel Group, a financial organisation that has been successfully growing its business in Peninsular Malaysia, has now expanded its operations to Borneo.

To establish its position in the financial market, the group hosted its inaugural Borneo media networking session here on today (July 20).

During the event, Citadel Group chairman and CEO, Datuk Jeff S. Medina pointed out the company’s commitment to becoming a credible, reliable, and sound finance organisation with all the necessary licenses from relevant regulators.

Their aim is to unlock digital financial instruments to assist both high net worth individuals in managing their wealth and SMEs in surviving and thriving during these challenging economic times.

“At Citadel, we are dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and sustainable financial services. Our belief is that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from financial services, regardless of their income or location,” he said.

Medina highlighted that this move into the Borneo region would not only support local businesses during the economic recovery but also enhance their competitiveness in the future.

Citadel Group’s wealth products and services are designed to promote Islamic financing, which has been evident in their previous fund-raising exercises used to expand their e-payment gateway business within the Asian region.

Founded in 2019, Citadel Group has ambitious plans for both local and international growth, making its entry into the Borneo financial industry a strategic move.

During the event, two other presentations focused on Citadel Group’s services. Citadel Trustee Berhad CEO and executive director, Amir Mokhtar explained their Islamic Trustee products, which not only hold clients’ funds in trust but also grow them during the trust period, benefiting the beneficiaries upon the passing of their clients.

Meanwhile, Citadel Capital CEO, Harris Md Taib discussed the recruitment of agents to attract new clients and offer various investment instruments based on their risk appetite and portfolio.
