KUCHING: A section of Jalan Datuk Stephen Yong and Jalan Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wee Boon Ping will be temporarily closed for road surface repair works.
The Public Works Department Department (PWD) said that the temporary closure of Jalan Datuk Stephen Yong will begin from today (Nov 9) until Nov 23.
As for Jalan Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wee Boon Ping, it will be closed from Nov 12 to Dec 1.
The temporary closures for both roads will be in effect from 8 pm to 5 am, as indicated in the notice.
“Therefore, road users are advised to drive cautiously in these areas during the repair works and to adhere to all traffic management for the safety of all road users until the completion of these repair works.
“The PWD Kuching Division will notify the public of any changes to the dates, times, and areas involved in these works as needed,” it said in a notice, today.
The department also advised road users to plan their journey in the affected areas and be aware that the maximum speed limit throughout the construction zone is 30 km/h only.
