KUALA LUMPUR: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg yesterday accompanied the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud to attend the meeting of the Conference of Rulers at Istana Negara here.
The 254th meeting was chaired by the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. Also present were all the Malay Rulers, except the sultans of Kelantan and Pahang, who were represented by Tengku Mahkota of Kelantan Tengku Dr Muhammad Faiz Petra Sultan Ismail Petra and Tengku Muda of Pahang Tengku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ahmad Shah, respectively.
The Malay Rulers were accompanied by their respective Mentris Besar. The Yang DiPertua Negeri Sabah Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Juhar Datuk Mahuruddin was accompanied by chief minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
