BAU: A collision between a Perodua Axia and a Toyota Vios early this morning at Jalan Siniawan-Bau resulted in four individuals sustaining severe injuries.
The Bau Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak swiftly responded to a distress call which it received at 12.09 am on the incident.
Upon reaching the scene, rescuers found the 23-year-old driver of the Perodua Axia trapped in his seat.
The Bomba personnel efficiently extricated the trapped individual while the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) provided initial on-site medical attention, including the application of a cervical collar.
All the injured victims were swiftly transported to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) in ambulances.
Earlier, passersby assisted the Toyota Vios driver and passenger, transferring them to Bau Hospital for treatment.
The firefighters ended their tasks by clearing debris from the road.
