BUKIT Semuja Assemblyman John Ilus has called for immediate attention in the August House to pressing issues and concerns in the Bukit Semuja constituency.

One of the main concerns highlighted by Ilus is the unsafe condition of SK Tebakang, which was constructed using cabins.

The assemblyman stressed the need for the relevant authorities to promptly address the safety risks and carry out necessary repairs to the school.

“There is also a need for a status update on the prolonged delay in the construction of SMK Serian No.2 and SK Sri Sadong.

“In addition, the Triboh Health Clinic, which was previously destroyed in a fire and is currently operating from a rented shop lot, also requires clarity.

“There are also the unresolved issues of electricity supply in 548 households across various villages in Bukit Semuja, it is important that the essential amenities should be provided by the relevant agencies,” he said

Furthermore, he emphasised the need for swift action from the relevant ministry to address the insufficient number of Street Light Project (PLJ) units, as 152 units are still required for 10 villages.
