KUCHING: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) is working together with Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) Mile 10 and Community Neigbourhood Watch (KRT) Semaba Park to take care of the welfare of the residents of the two neighbourhoods and surrounding areas.

MPP chairman Tan Kai, in a statement yesterday, said a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed to enshrine the special relationship between the municipal council, JKKK and KRT was signed; so as to identify specific areas of cooperation and most importantly by committing the two entities in promoting social harmony, neighbourhood communities, a healthy lifestyle and clean environment.

The cooperation is focused on creating a better living environment for the people living in Kota Padawan, Semaba Park and surrounding areas and to maintain, improve or upgrade both recreational parks.

KRT and JKKK have agreed to support and assist MPP to monitor activities at the park and report to the municipal council on any unwarranted disturbance or nuisance happening and minimising vandalism.
