Creative marketing crucial entrepreneurial strategy

MIRI: Beginner entrepreneurs need to focus on engaging with current marketing trends and making their creative marketing adaptable, affordable and effective, said Minister for Transport Sarawak Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin.

“Creative marketing is a crucial part of any marketing strategy, be it a video or infographic, it’s the key messaging that is going to be reaching out to your target audience,” he pointed out.

Speaking at the launching of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) Sara Bif entrepreneurs mini carnival in Miri yesterday morning, Lee added, creative marketing ideas would get more customers and followers.

“Every entrepreneur has to see and understand trends in order to be successful, learn how to spot trend and create your own ‘set of dots’ that gives you insights into rising macro trends and possible micro opportunities to create next generation startups,” he told the crowd.

The SEDC Sara Bif entrepreneurs mini carnival in Miri is being held from February 10 to 12 at its regional office in Permyjaya, featuring 13 entrepreneurs and 10 government agencies taking part in the event.

Among the highlights of the event were cooking competition based on Sara Bif meat products ; cooking demonstration by renown Maggie’s executive chef Abdul Muluk Rambli or better known as Chef Muluk, karaoke contest and  entrepreneurial talk by participating agencies.

Also present were SEDC General Manager Datuk Abdul Hadi Datuk Abdul Kadir, Miri Division Resident Abdul Aziz Yusuf and SEDC’s Board members.
