DBKU to open 57 sales lots for regatta on Oct 11

KUCHING: Calling all entrepreneurs! Here’s your chance to showcase and sell your goods at the Sarawak Regatta event.

Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) is offering sales lots along Jalan Gambier here from Oct 27-29 and Nov 3-5.

According to its statement, a total of 57 lots will be available. Of these, 20 will be allocated for textiles, accessories, children’s games, and more; 24 for food and beverages; eight for grilled food; and five for food trucks.

The statement said that the fee for the specified selling period (six days) is RM160 per lot. Hawkers must provide their own tables, chairs, and a blue canopy measuring 10′ x 10′ for their stalls.

Sales lot applications will open on Oct 11 and can be accessed via the Google Form link on the DBKU Website and Facebook page.

Given that the allocation is on a ‘First Come, First Serve’ basis, all applicants should provide a valid phone number and email address to ensure prompt communication.

In addition, applicants must upload documents including a passport-sized photo and a copy of the identification card for the applicant, stall assistant, or employee, accompanied by the payment fee of RM160 through the SPay Global app.

For food and beverage traders, additional documentation is required: a copy of the Food Handler Course Certificate for both the applicant and stall assistant/employee; a copy of the Health Examination Report and Typhoid Vaccine record for the applicant and booth helper/employee; and a copy of the DBKU Food Handler Card.

Successful applicants must attend the Briefing and Lottery Session on Oct 21 at the DBKU Auditorium, Bukit Siol, Jalan Semariang.
