KUCHING: The community in the Demak Laut constituency is encouraged to continue to be active and involved in association activities.
Its assemblyman Hazland Abang Hipni said by being a member of an association, a person will be trained and exposed to many soft skills.
“For example, when working as a team, people will be able to produce the best results.
“Moreover, it can also improve skills in organisational management and responsibility, in addition to being updated with the latest information related to government policy,” he said.
He said this while speaking at an Aidilfitri open house organised by the non-governmental organisation (NGO) of Kampung Muara Tebas here on Sunday (Apr 30).
Furthermore, he also pointed out that involvement with such associational activities will indirectly produce quality human resources at the village level.
“When actively involved in the association, a person will be formed into a leader at the grassroots level.
“Through hands-on experience and exposure, it indirectly produces quality human resources in the villages,” he said.
For the record, the said open house was attended by more than 600 guests consisting of villagers and NGO members.
