KUCHING: Muslims have been urged to practise moderation during this Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said this is in light of the uncertainty in the current global economy.

“As we celebrate this Hari Raya Aidilfitri, I would like to remind all that we are to always be prudent and spend within your means,” he said in his Hari Raya 2023 message.

Awang Tengah also calls on the people to help and bring cheer to the less fortunate.

“On another note, I would like to remind those who would be driving back to their hometowns to be with families and friends, please be careful on the road so that you could arrive at the destination safely,” he said.

He also with everyone a Selamat Hari Raya and hopes that the celebration is celebrated with joy.

Additionally, Awang Tengah and his wife Datuk Dayang Morliah Awang Daud will be hosting their Hari Raya open house on the second and third day of Raya in Lawas.

They have invited everyone to visit their open house at Lot 1937, Taman Klasik, 98850, Lawas from 9am to 5pm.
