MIRI: Several development projects carried out under the Highland Development Agency (HDA) aimed at benefiting Telang Usan’s constituents are going well, asserts its assemblyman Dennis Ngau.

“It is part of the Sarawak government’s efforts in bringing holistic development to the constituency.

“Therefore, to ensure the smooth implementation of these projects, people must stay united and focus their support to the ruling government led by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS),” he said.

Dennis said the state government had allocated RM1.5 billion to the HDA and half of the amount was allocated to Telang Usan, while the other half went to Mulu.

The allocation will be used to build roads and water treatment plants.

He added, under the HDA, eight water treatment plants will be built in villages in his constituency.

“The cost for each water treatment plant would be around RM10 million,” Dennis said.

He disclosed this on Friday in Long Luyang Ulu Tinjar Baram at a thanksgiving ceremony held for the newly appointed Tuai Kaum (TK) Dennis Madang, who replaced John Avon.
