LINGGA: An allocation of RM68.4 million has been proposed through the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) to upgrade irrigation and drainage infrastructure as well as river bank retaining wall projects in the Seduku area.

Lingga assemblywoman, Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor said the implementation of the project will definitely benefit the farmers around Seduku, Lingga and Bakong as well as overcome the problem of high tides that often occur in the area.

“The project located in the Seduku, Lingga area involves an area of 330 hectares and currently there is no proper road network in the agricultural area.

“The latest population in the area which covers three longhouses is more than 280 people in approximately 70 houses,” she said during a dialogue session with the local community at Kampung Agropolitan Seduku here, recently.
