SIBU: A man was injured after the luxury sedan he was travelling rear-ended a stationary long-based truck laden with palm oil at Mile 8 here this morning.

According to witnesses, during the 8.15am incident, the driver survived the crash with minor injuries but his car was severely damaged.

They said the truck that was rear-ended was one of two parked by the side of the road because one of them had broken down.

The car crashed into the rear of the tanker and got stuck there even as palm oil started to leak out and spilled on the road.

Vehicles heading towards Sibu are advised to slow down when approaching the crash site as the road may still be slippery.
