MUKAH: Former Politeknik Mukah (PMU) director Dullah Muluk was transferred to Politeknik Tawau, Sabah on June 16. He is also the director there.

He served as the seventh director of PMU for two years one month and 29 days (April 16, 2019 – June 15, 2021).

Dullah said he had been transferred seven times since joining the public sector on May 16, 1989.

“I am accustomed to number seven in my life, as I have seven siblings and seven children. I was the seventh staff at Politeknik Kota Kinabau, the seventh director at PMU, and has been separated seven months from my wife since Covid-19,” he said during a recent virtual monthly gathering at PMU prior to his transfer.

According to him, during his service at PMU, he had helped the institution to achieve the Asia Pasific Accreditation & Certification  Commission; Sirim – Pensijilan Sistem Pengurusan Kualiti; EKSA – Pensijilan Eko Sistem Sektor Awam; OSHA – Pensijilan OSHA; ETAC – Pengiktirafan Program Kejuruteraan and MQA – Pengiktirafan Program Perdagangan dan IT.

Dullah added PMU’s graduates employability rate currently was more than 90 percent and comparable with the national standard.

The virtual monthly gathering was attended by more than 200 staff including deputy director (Academic) Mohd Sani Said and deputy director (Academic Support) Iskandar Reduan.
