KUCHING: The Household Electrical and Electronic Waste (BEE) Campaign moves to Bintulu on July 16-17, with the Dewan Suarah Bintulu car park as its location.
The campaign, organised by the Environmental Department and Natural Resource and Environmental Board in collaboration with Bintulu Development Board, aims to ensure used and expired electrical and electronic products or e-waste are collected and properly disposed of to protect the environment.
E-waste that is not handled in an environmentally friendly way can cause health problems and serious pollution because e-waste contains plumbum, cadmium, beryllium, among others.
The public have been urged to bring their e-waste to the location from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
