MIRI: Sarawak Plantation Berhad (SPB) yesterday morning brought early Raya cheer to 24 underprivileged children from the Hamidah Yakup Orphanage Complex here.

The children, aged between seven and 12, were treated to a Raya shopping experience at Boulevard Shopping Mall at Jalan Miri-Pujut here; they were allowed to choose their own ‘Baju Raya’.

Also present during the three-hour shopping spree which began at 10.30am was SPB’s Miri senior manager field audit, Wan Mohd Nisal.

“This is part of our Social Corporate Responsibility, brightening the day for the underprivileged children and sharing with them the cheer and joy of the festive season,” said Wan Mohd when met yesterday.
