BINTULU: The ongoing Jepak by-election continues to progress smoothly, reflecting the Election Commission’s (EC) commitment to ensuring accessible and convenient voting for all electorates.

EC Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh expressed satisfaction with the ongoing electoral process, citing the absence of complaints as a testament to diligent participation from voters in the Jepak constituency.

During his inspection at polling stations here, Abdul Ghani said he observed a peaceful and seamless process.

“As of our recent visits, we have not received any complaints, indicating that all voters in the Jepak constituency have fulfilled their responsibilities diligently.

“During our visits, we found that everything was peaceful and proceeding smoothly,” he told reporters when met at SK Bintulu for the by-election today (Nov 4).

Addressing concerns about the distance between the polling stations and residential areas, he highlighted the commission’s efforts to facilitate voting, particularly for senior citizens.
