MUKAH: Reprimands and advice among the youth are highly encouraged, especially for those who are involved in negative activities, said Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine.

“However, it must be appropriate to the situation and place when giving warnings and advice to avoid misunderstandings and any untoward incidents.

“Perhaps some of our friends are involved in drug abuse, online gambling and other vices, we can reprimand and give them advice.

“It is our responsibility to guide our friends to become better people,” he said.

He said this during the closing ceremony of the Youth Leadership and Organisational Management Course at the Lecture Room, Dewan Suarah Mesra, here, on Thursday.

Meanwhile, for the course that was held, he said, it gave a good experience especially to those involved in an association.

“This will be a guideline and knowledge for all participants, especially the youth.

“This is because youth is an appropriate age for a person to learn something for future use,” he explained.
