KUCHING: The 17th ReQaSeni Exhibition-Enigma is a real test for graphic design students in showcasing and receiving comments on their artworks.

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak campus rector Professor Datuk Dr Jamil Hamali said students from the College of Creative Arts should be open to comments received on their artworks.

“This is the real test for you to get the public to comment on whether your artworks are fantastic or otherwise.

“If it is good, Alhamdulilah. If it is not, take the comment and improve from there. I hope you keep this positive attitude in order to be a good artist or graphic designer,” he said at the closing ceremony of the exhibition held at CityOne Megamall here, yesterday (Feb 19).

On the event, themed ‘Enigma’, which meant something puzzling and mysterious, Jamil said it was the perfect word to encapsulate the spirit of the exhibition.

“The concept given by the lecturer is a wonderful challenge to see whether the idea can be translated into the works you are exhibiting,” he said.
