Factory manager reports break-in, RM20,000-loss

KUCHING: A factory manager staying at Kasuma Resort in Petra Jaya lodged a police report on Wednesday that the factory at Muara Tabuan Industrial Park had been broken into.

He said when he arrived at the factory at 7.30am, he found that fence had been cut and the factory door forced open.

He claimed missing from the factory were a pressure cleaner, water hose, two gas cylinders,a  Bosch impact drill, a Karchar hammer drill, five Sanso pump, a Karcher grinder, extension wire, eight units of armoured cables.

He estimated the total loss at RM20,000.

In a separate case, a youth from Petra Jaya was caught shoplifting at an outlet at Plaza Merdeka at 2.00pm last Tuesday.

The youth was caught stealing a jacket worth RM45 and a pair of trousers worth RM189 from a store.

He was later handed over to the police for further action.
