“For Sarawak to get the genuine and correct Fatwa, it should only come from our state Mufti, not from others other than Datu Kipli. At the same time we should beware of someone claiming that they are  Mufti as for our state we have only one,” he said.

He also touched on the sending of the children to the religious schools or Sekolah Agama under SIC by mentioning the advantage of such a school for the Muslims.

“I know some hesitate to send their children to Sekolah Agama; it is like any other schools in the state, we also have Bahasa Malaysia and English, and  Arabic,” he said, adding that they are on the right track to become amongst the elite schools in Sarawak.

Misnu also stressed on the importance of maintaining and preserving the  unity and cordial relationship of the colourful society of Sarawak by claiming that the Muslims are only made up of only between 26 to 30 per cent of the state population.

Meanwhile, in his welcoming speech, Kipli, expressed his gratitude that every Fatwa Seminar held in the state has received overwhelming response from the locals.

“For instance in Kapit we have a very good response from the locals and even some of them were non-Muslims, and in the capital city, it would usually attract some 1,200 participants,” he said.
