MARUDI: The Jawatankuasa Penyelaras Penyenggaraan Bangunan Gunasama Persekutuan Marudi (JPPBGPM), also known as Fedcom Marudi, has come to the aid of families of members affected by a fire at Kampung Narum.
In a ceremony on Thursday (April 13), Fedcom Marudi chairman Khairul Othman presented a donation from members to the victims, who are also family members of one of the staff from the Marudi Information Office, Anim Abdullah.
Khairul stated that following the fire incident last week, members initiated a donation drive to help alleviate the burden of the affected families, especially with Aidilfitri just around the corner.
Speaking during the donation handover, a family member of the victims, Adzman Syukria Abdullah, expressed gratitude to Khairul and the committee for their assistance.
Fedcom Marudi is a committee comprising federal government agencies based in the Wisma Persekutuan Marudi building, including the Malaysian Information Department, National Registration Department, Immigration Department, Cooperative Commission of Malaysia, Civil Defense Office, Department of Labour, Department of Rural Development in Baram, and Ambang Wira Sdn Bhd.
