KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) will try to get Veterinary and Health departments to hold awareness seminar and mass vaccination to as many places as possible.

Tan Kai, who is SUPP Youth Chairman said, even though the dog bite cases have been reduced, the fight against rabies will continue for at least 2 years from the last rabies case detected, be it dog or human case.

‘Any local community association keen to learn more about rabies can contact the party headquarters,’ he said. Yesterday, Local government minister, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian chaired a meeting in his office with his Ministry and the State Vet officials to follow up on the development of rabies.
