BINTULU: An early morning blaze damaged an entertainment outlet at Fortune Park Commercial Centre, here today (Jan 12).
The state Fire and Rescue Operations Centre (Bomba) was alerted to the incident at 6.45am and firemen from the Bintulu Bomba station were despatched to the scene.
A Bomba spokesman said the fire started from the ground level of a shoplot building.
“The operations commander reported that the damage was not extensive, about 20 percent of the property was destroyed.
“The team managed to put out the fire with water from the fire engine and a nearby fire hydrant,” he said.
There are no casualties, and the cause of fire and total loss of property are yet to be ascertained.
