Fire leaves two families homeless

KUCHING: Two families were left homeless after fire razed three homes in Kampung Sinjan near here, last Tuesday.

The State Fire and Rescue operation centre said they received an emergency call at 6.46pm and mobilised firefighters from Petrajaya station to the location.

“The operation commander reported that the three houses were completely destroyed in the fire.

Two of the houses were occupied while the other was empty.

There were no casualties as family members from the two houses were safely evacuated after the fire broke out.

The firemen managed to put out the blaze at 7.19pm.

The cause of the fire and loss to properties are yet to be ascertained.
