KUCHING: Two families were left homeless after a fire ravaged their shared home at Kampung Tabuan Melayu, here early this morning.
State Fire and Rescue (Bomba) operations centre said the house was occupied by two families consisting of two men and two women.
It was also reported that the fire also destroyed two motorcycles that belonged to the household.
“The fire involved a single-storey house measuring approximately 20 by 40 square feet.
It added that the firefighters managed to extinguish the fire at around 8.40am.
“The process of cooling down was done on the house next door so that the fire did not spread,” said the report.
