KUCHING: A van was completely destroyed by a fire at a house, located at Jalan Gold Jade.
The emergency call was received through the MERS999 at 3.13pm yesterday and the State Fire and Rescue Operation Centre (Bomba) despatched a team from Batu Lintang station.
“The operation commander reported that an old van was on fire at the scene in front of a house. Upon arrival, the van was found to have been completely destroyed in the blaze.
“The extinguishing operation was done using a hosereel from the firetruck until the fire was fully doused off,” said the operation centre.
There were no injury or casualty throughout the incident and the operation ended at 3.52pm.
It added that the total losses of properties or items at the incident location are being investigated and calculated by the forensic team.
