KUCHING: A fire occurred last Sunday nearby the 4th Mile Cemetery at Jalan Penrissen, here.
A team of firefighters arrived at the scene and found recycled items belonging to Chakara Metal Resources burning in an open field.
The operation led by Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) senior fire officer II Arisa Arshad, along with 14 firefighters, managed to put out the fire. No casualties were reported.
Also present at the scene were Tabuan Jaya Bomba senior fire officer II Nurzainuldin Marzuki with 11 firefighters.
