Firefighters come to aid of a man with stuck ring

SIMANGGANG: A 33-year-old man faced a distressing situation when a ring became firmly stuck on his ring finger, subjecting him to excruciating pain for almost two hours yesterday (Sept 23).

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Sri Aman station were deployed to Sri Aman Hospital after receiving an emergency call at 4.37pm.

Using specialised equipment, the team worked diligently for over an hour to carefully cut through the ring on the man’s right ring finger.

Following the successful removal, the man was handed over to the hospital for treatment.

The rescue operation, which started at 4.45pm, concluded around 6.05pm, bringing relief to the man who had endured this unusual and distressing ordeal.
