MIRI: In a startling incident at Niah Bazaar here on Friday, an adult monitor lizard was rescued after becoming trapped inside the back seat of a car.

The car’s owner discovered the reptile shortly after entering the vehicle at around 1.38 pm. Alarmed and concerned about the possibility of an attack, he immediately contacted the Batu Niah fire station.

Responding to the distress call, a team of firefighters from the station quickly arrived at the scene. Despite the lizard’s aggressive behaviour, they successfully captured the reptile.
