KUCHING:  Hope Place Kuching has provided food aid for needy families in Lubok Antu longhouses.

“The delivery of the basic food items took us three days,” said Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan in a statement issued on Sunday (Aug 16).

“On Friday (Aug 14) we started our journey to Lubok Antu early in the morning. It took us more than four hours and a half to reach the longhouses.”

Wan thanked Tay Motor for sponsoring the vehicle used to distribute the food aid.

He said Hope Place Kuching had a one-year charity project to help people with special needs (OKU), abandoned elderly and single mothers with many schooling kids in the Lingga and Luboh Antu areas.
