KUCHING: The Department of Information (JaPen) Tatau District on Sunday (June 20) donated food and mineral water to police officers from the Tatau District Police Headquarters in Tatau.

The donation was handed over by Tatau District Information Officer, Donny Minggu Ling to Tatau District Police chief, DSP Jame Reis.

Ling said the contribution was in appreciation of the police officers’ efforts to help with the enforcement of the movement control order (MCO) in Tatau.

“This is also a show of moral support to the police personnel who work tirelessly at every roadblock here.

“This is our way of showing our gratitude to the frontline officers who are never tired of maintaining security and ensuring that the public abides by the rules,” he said.

Jame also thanked all parties who had helped the police officers working at the roadblocks.

Meanwhile, the public is reminded to undergo the Covid-19 screening test (rT-PCR) before exiting and entering the Bintulu Zone. The screening test is required as a supporting document when applying for police permit to cross regions in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by Bintulu Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC).
