SIBU: A housewife was left RM150,000 poorer after she fell prey to an online sales business investment scam.

The incident happened on March 29 this year when the woman in her late 30s, was attracted to the contents uploaded on ‘Kuai Shou’ app by a man named Mioa Long Yun (suspect).

Both of them later furthered their conversation on WhatsApp where, the suspect claimed that he works for Amazon in Hong Kong.

“Later, the victim was given a link for registration purposes and access details such as an ID and password to commence the capital payment.

“The victim, who was intrigued with the enticing opportunity, proceeded to transfer a sum of RM150,000 into two bank accounts via 11 transactions from mid-April to end of April,” he said.
