KUALA LUMPUR: The ‘Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak’ has evolved throughout the years, providing a platform for Sarawakians who are studying or working in West Malaysia to express their views on what they want for Sarawak in the future.

Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni said the event, which is in its 13th edition, meant to engage Sarawakians, especially the youths, in the state policy making.

“The event is a crucial platform for them in channelling their views or suggestions on how to better improve our state policy,” he opined.

For this year, Lukanisman is hoping more suggestions can be brought up to help the state government in its policy-making.

Sharing similar views was Assistant Ministerin the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and Kuching North City Commission) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

“The event exposes students to various initiatives and development plans being implemented in Sarawak but also engages them in the state policy-making,” he said.
