KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party Youth Central assistant secretary general Liew Leong Yee wants DAP to focus on bigger issues instead of urging the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to suspend SUPP.

“The DAP is being very petty and there are bigger things they should focus on such as getting the economy back on track,” Liew told a press conference here yesterday.

Recently, Sim Kiat Leng, a committee member of Dapsy Kuching, had lodged a complaint with the RoS to investigate SUPP for allegedly receiving 1MDB money.

Liew told DAP not to implicate SUPP in the IMDB issue but should concentrate on asking back the 50 percent service tax and 20 percent oil royalty for Sarawak.

He said he was very upset with Sim as they should be spending more time concentrating on helping Sarawakians instead playing politics.

On another issue, Liew also asked the PH Sarawak to reveal the eight companies which are holding APs for sugar import. He said the PH government should also explain why there was no decrease in prices of goods after the abolishment of the GST.
