GOF ready to assist in law enforcement activities

KUCHING: The Sarawak General Operation Force (GOF) is always ready to give cooperation to any party who needs assistance in enforcing the law.

This was emphasised by Sarawak GOF commander SAC Datuk Khaw Kok Chin at the breaking of fast programme at Khalid Ibnu Walid Mosque, Sarawak GOF Headquarters in Batu Kawa here Thursday.

He stressed the importance of strong ties between the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP), the GOF and other government departments and agencies as well as the local communities for a comprehensive enforcement of the laws.

Khaw’s arrival was welcomed by the GOF officers and members.

“The cooperation of all parties had and will continue to ensure successful operations to eradicate crimes or illegal activities such as smuggling, illegal logging, illegal immigrants and so on.

“I hope we can all continue to work together in line with the theme of this year’s 212th Police Day celebration ‘Polis dan Masyarakat Berpisah Tiada’ (Police and Community Will Never Part).”

Khaw delivered the refund cheques of RMP Welfare and Sports Club’s fees to the Sarawak Brigade GOF Sports and Recreational Welfare Fund for the year 2018.

Among the recipients were Sarawak Brigade Headquarters, Battalion 10, Battalion 11, Battalion 12, Company C Sri Aman and Company C Limbang.
