MIRI: As of today (Nov 27), the floodwaters that had inundated the access road to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sungai Manong, Niah, are gradually receding.
This area has been under floodwaters since Nov 25 due to heavy rains, rendering the road impassable for all vehicle types.
The Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) conducted a check this morning and observed that the floodwater level had decreased to less than two feet.
While the school remained open, APM advised the school to remain extra vigilant in monitoring the situation.
