KUALA LUMPUR: National top golfer Gavin Kyle Green failed in his mission to make a breakthrough in the European Tour after finishing in a joint 12th place with seven others in the Omega European Masters Golf Tournament at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland on Sunday (Monday in Malaysia).

The 25-year-old who put up a commendable performance in the opening round until the third round, failed to continue his impressive run after posting a one-over-par 71 in the final round for a four-day total of 11-under-par 269.

He tied with seven others, namely Thomas Pieters of Belgium, Andrea Pavan (Italy), Marcus Kinhult (Sweden), Scott Jamieson (Scotland), Renato Paratore (Italy), and two South African players — Erik Van Rooyen and Christiaan Bezuidenhout, according to the European Tour website, www.europeantour.com. – Bernama
