MUKAH: Green technology can make rural life better, said Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine.

“Take solar power, for example. In some far-off spots in Tellian, there’s still no electricity. But we could change that by using green technology like solar power everywhere that needs electricity,” Royston said.

He said this during the Randau Hydrogen and Tech Safari 3.0 Session at the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (Centexs) Mukah Multipurpose Hall here, yesterday.

He believed that the state government’s programmes can integrate green technology into various economic opportunities.

At the same time, he hopes that the youth will embrace technological advancements in the present time, aligning with the government’s suggestion towards green technology.

Also present was Centexs chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani.

The Randau Session was also attended by 320 students from eight schools in Mukah area.
