MOSCOW: At least 16 people were killed in attacks by unknown gunmen in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the state said on Sunday, reported Sputnik.
“The Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office condemns the events that Sunday morning in the cities of Salvatierra and Salamanca, where 12 and four deaths have been reported so far (respectively),” the Prosecutor’s Office said on X (previously Twitter).
The media reported that in Salvatierra, an armed group attacked young people between 17 and 30 years old, vacationing at a hotel. In addition to the dead, 12 more people were hospitalised, with two of them being in serious condition. – BERNAMA-SPUTNIK
