KUCHING: A struggling mother-of-six received assistance from Hope Place, a local non-governmental organisation, on Wednesday.

The homeless woman and her children were found on the streets of 7th Mile on Tuesday and were provided temporary shelter by Anjung Kasih before being referred to Hope Place.

The woman was identified as Norazlina Nasir, 34, and she has six children between the ages of 8 years to 11 months. Her husband recently went missing.

Norazlina decided to move out from their rented room after the owner of the house kept chasing her for rent money.

The organisation contributed food aid and basic necessities, such as milk powder and school shoes for Norazlina’s children.

Hope Place also expressed its gratitude to donors who contributed to help those in need.

For more information, Hope Place can be reached at 013-5672775. Opening hours are from 8.30am to 5pm (Mondays to Fridays) and 8.45am to 12pm on Saturdays.
