Housewife wins Shell FuelSave 95 mileage contest

KUCHING: A mother of two has won the Shell FuelSave 95 Challenge 2023, beating four other contestants from Sarawak and Sabah here on Sunday (April 16).

Lai Siaw Feng, from Jalan Stampin emerged winner as the most fuel-efficient driver for the eastern region.

The 38-year old managed to clock 25.45km per litre with the New + Improved Shell FuelSave 95.

Siaw Feng took home RM5,000 and booked a spot in the grand finale for the national drive challenge.

She said she was at the Shell petrol station on Friday when a service crew approached her and asked her to give it a try and participate in the event.

She added that she enjoyed the drive throughout and was happy that she participated.

Siaw Feng who is a homemaker said she looks forward to the grand finale at the end of May where she will compete with winners from Ipoh, Johor, Kuantan and Kuala Lumpur and vie for a cash prize of RM20,000.

Shell FuelSave 95 Challenge 2023 is on a nationwide search for a Malaysian who can clock the best fuel economy using its newly-launched fuel by achieving the best mileage on a full tank.
