KUALA LUMPUR: The viral sex video allegedly implicating a minister is not a moral issue but a political problem, said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who stressed that he does not want to be used in this matter.

In the latest post on his personal blog chedet.cc, the Prime Minister said the video was recorded and circulated for political reasons, specifically to block the political success of a certain individual.

“This is not a moral issue. It is a political problem. It will be handled as a political issue,” he wrote.

He said the action anticipated was the expulsion of the targeted individual and it was hoped that he, as the person with the authority, would take that action.

“If I take that action, it means those who plotted this evil move have succeeded. I will not be made use of, more so by those with evil intention and who employ dirty politics,” said Dr Mahathir.

The prime minister said Islam prohibits intentional spying for the purpose of exposing a person, especially by people with evil intention who use dirty politics. – Bernama
