KPJ Hospital celebrates Ramadan with frontliners

KUCHING: KPJ Specialist Hospital Kuching is continuing its annual tradition of organising ‘Program Singgah Sahur’ to appreciate the service and sacrifice of frontliners in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.

KPJ Kuching general manager Nurhazimah Mahat said the programme which took place on Sunday morning (April 2) also aims to strengthen the relationship between the hospital and local authorities.

“The ‘Program Singgah Sahur’ is not just an annual programme organised by the hospital. It is one of the ways we show our appreciation for the services and sacrifices of the departments that are at the forefront of our nation.

“For this year’s edition, we have collaborated with the Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA), Tabuan Jaya Police Station and Civil Defense Department (JPAM), she said in a statement today (April 3).

Nurhazimah also said it is one of the hospital’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes that are carried out every year in addition to other CSR activities.

Also present during the programme were BOMBA Sarawak director Datuk Khirudin Drahman, BOMBA Sarawak Operations Division Assistant Director Hendri Ardimansyah, KPJ Specialist Hospital Operations Manager Intan Lily Rafidah Saidon and other officials.
