SIBU: Kelab Tenis Betong (KTB) emerged as the champion in the President Cup 2023 tennis tournament, hosted by the Sibu Division Lawn Tennis Association (SDLTA).
The tournament concluded today (July 2) at SDLTA’s tennis courts, located in the Bukit Lima Sports Complex.
In the final match, KTB Betong defeated SDLTA with a score of 2-1, securing victory and claiming the prestigious President Cup. They were also awarded a cash prize of RM1,500 and medals for their achievement.
SDLTA, who secured second place, received a cash prize of RM800 along with medals.
The third-place positions were shared by Sarikei LTA and PTBMu from Mukah. Both teams were presented with a cash prize of RM500 and medals.
A total of six teams from Betong, Sarikei, and Mukah participated in the three-day tournament, which started on June 30.
During the closing ceremony, president of SDLTA Michael Lau Chai Hing, handed out the prizes. The organising chairman Adam Tiong was also present at the ceremony.
