KUCHING: Kuching City FC head coach Irfan Bakti Abu Salim said he still has confidence in the team’s ability to secure three points against bottom side Kelantan United at Stadium Negeri on Wednesday night.

Kuching City FC is currently under a lot of pressure as they have lost five league games in a row after starting the season with a 2-1 win against Kelantan FC away from home which at the time puts them as high as 4th on the league table.

Now languishing in 13th on the league table, just two points and a place above their opponent on Wednesday night, Irfan Bakti said the players have to seize the chance to bounce back.

“The players will again be having another chance to set things right on Wednesday night.

“It is not an easy task for sure but if they can execute the tactical plan that I have set up, I believe we can rake up the three points,” Irfan Bakti said.

Irfan is expected to make some changes to the starting line-up and he hopes that it will give a new thrust to the team.

“From what I have seen in the previous matches, some of the players who have underperformed might be dropped and maybe we will rely on more local players to overcome this rut,” Irfan Bakti added.
