SERIAN: A landslide has occurred in front of two houses at Kampung Koran Mawang here yesterday (Jan 28).
However, no injuries or casualties were reported among the 27 tenants from both houses.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Serian station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 4.25pm.
On arrival, the team confirmed that the landslide happened just a few feet in front of the houses following continuous rain.
No evacuation works were carried out as they only monitored the situation and reminded the tenants to be cautious.
The team also advised that the affected area be covered with a canvas to prevent the tenants from going near the scene.
