KUCHING: Lea Sports Centre (LCS) Sdn Bhd recently sponsored sports attires for the 13 finalists of Miss International Sarawak (MIS)
The event, which took place at LCS Sarawak Plaza yesterday marked a significant partnership between both parties in promoting sports and fitness in Sarawak.
Vice-director of MIS, Datuk Aaron Von Jolly said that the sport attires have been meticulously selected to ensure comfort, functionality, and style for various sports activities.
“In line with this initiative, the handover ceremony also provided the finalists to personally experience the fitting session.
“It allows them to assess if the selected sports attires are a perfect fit for their athletic pursuits,” he said.
He added that through the collaboration, it is one of the few ways MIS is giving back to society.
“For instance, we are working closely with the Kuching Autistic Association so through the ticket sales, some of the proceeds will be given to the association,” he said when met by reporters after the handover ceremony.
The handover ceremony was attended by Datuk Melinda Claudia Bucking Lawan, wife of Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan, together with managing director of Lea Group Raymond Sim.
He then said that through the partnership between both parties, it aimed to encourage young women to embrace sports and fitness as part of their lives, fostering confidence, resilience and overall wellbeing.
The grand finale for Miss International Sarawak will be held tomorrow (July 28) at Waterfront Hotel and Snowdan will be attending the ceremony.
Tickets are now on sale at RM2,500 for platinum table and RM1,500 for gold table.
