KUCHING: Join in a special event as Malaysia’s first astronaut, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, shares his journey to space this Thursday.

According to Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Dr. Abdul Rahman Junaidi, this talk is part of the Islamic Creativity and Innovation Festival (FesKII) 2023, known as “The Beauty of Islam.”

The talk will take place at the Islamic Information Centre at 8.15pm.

The festival itself will be held from August 17 to 20.

It’s a great opportunity to learn about the positive aspects of Islam, like creativity and sharing important ideas.

“In addition, it’s also about sharing the best ways to manage and spread information, and showing the beauty of Islam. This includes highlighting the diversity and magnificence of Islamic art from the archipelago and the region,” he said during the press conference at Majma Mall today.

He also said that visitors can explore Islamic art, discover space through telescopes, experience a Hajj simulation, see impressive innovations like robots, try archery, and even participate in competitions. There will be stalls with interesting items to buy and discover.
